Keep Your Social Life Healthy
We all enjoy a night out. It’s a really important part of an active social life. There is always a new place to try! Although you have to remember that ensuring your doing it in the healthiest way possible is important. Pace yourself with drinking, because it is not always easy to avoid those horrible after-effects of drinking too much. You wake up the next morning feeling horrible and vowing to never drink again. It may be easier said than done, especially as socializing can require a little bit of drinking and of course, sometimes overstepping your limits.
The Hangover Blues
Don’t miss out on any other activities just because of a sore head. Avoid it with a cure for hangover and avoid caffeinated drinks, have a ginger tea to aid digestion. Eat avocados, pretzels, and bananas as these are full of healthy fats. When you go out on a night out, make sure you don’t overspend.
Overspending is not good when you’re trying to live on a budget, and this is why you should keep a list and diary to make sure you have budgeted properly because it is really easy to overspend on a night out in luxury bars and clubs. This way, you keep the money in your purse and it’s there to spend on other activities, perhaps a nice meal with friends or even treating someone you love!
Finding time to enjoy a social life can be difficult. We all live busy lives but remember, it’s important for your mental health to keep happy and stable friendships. If you can’t always afford to go out then why not stay home with a movie night and some popcorn, which is a proven healthy snack!
Why not take a little stroll which is beneficial to you physically and can also help you sleep better at night. If you can’t meet up, then keep in touch on your phone. Pick up the phone and say hi, as there are plenty of free apps that allow you to chat for no money at all, and you don’t have to feel isolated when those busy weeks creep up on you! You don’t have to feel like you’re missing out because there’s always a way to keep in touch.
Book ahead, this is a great way to keep your diary planned and you can easily get ahead of things. Why not take a day trip with friends to the coast? It’s a great way to make memories for life and of course get some fabulous photos for Facebook! Avoiding the school holidays will be lighter on your wallet, as prices tend to skyrocket during this time.
Plan ahead and book tickets in advance if you want to get the best prices, and this is especially the case if you’re wanting to go on a train or plane. Keep a little money box at home and make it your fund for any day trips or nights out, and this way all your spare change can go into something adventurous and you don’t have to massively chip away at your bank account because we all know how difficult that is around payday!
There are lots of ways to stay healthy and have a fun social life! I hope these ideas inspire you.
