WE ARE ALL BUSY
We all want to look our best and for women, there seems to be a greater amount of pressure to do so. It’s part of the grand double standard. The problem with this is that as we get older, women have busy lives. Whether you’re heading into work every day or looking after your children, there seems to be no time to spend on your beauty. We know this struggle all too well. That’s why we’ve put this post together. On here, we’re going to look at the simple, low-key ways that you can make sure you look beautiful for longer.
It might surprise you to learn just how little you need to do to stay looking beautiful. You don’t need to head to a spa for the weekend to get those wrinkles off your face. You can start by making sure that you’re getting a good night’s rest. Many people think they’re getting a good sleep each night, but they’re not really. If you toss and turn in your sleep every night, you’re going to feel exhausted in the morning. As well as this, the restless night will have left a mark on your face. You’ll wake up looking and feeling groggy rather than replenished and rejuvenated. That’s why our first recommendation is that you get some bananas in your diet. Bananas contain natural chemicals that will help you stay still when you’re asleep. One each day should do the trick.
But it’s not just about staying still in bed. You’ve got to make sure you’re getting at least eight hours of full sleep each night. That’s hard to do. Particularly, when you have family and job-related commitments. But it’s certainly not impossible. A good trick if you can’t sleep is to blink a few times fast. Doing this tires your eyes and helps you fall asleep more quickly. You may also want to consider using techniques to help you relax before bed. For instance, you can get an MP3 of soothing noises. Or, better yet, switch everything electrical off in your room. Electromagnetic energy has been shown to disrupt sleep patterns.
Does your skin look unhealthy? Or, are your pores massive and noticeable. If that’s the case, then you should consider getting some beauty treatment. But we know that most women don’t have time to get a full spa treatment. Instead, they want some things that they can do at home. With that in mind, we suggest that you try a glycolic acid peel. You can do this for a few hours one weekend where your schedule isn’t so tight. A peel like this removes the old layer of skin, replacing it with the healthier one underneath. It can be quite dangerous, and you do need to be careful about the PH you’re using. But you can buy a glycolic acid from the shop or, you can even make one if you know how.
Alternatively, you could also consider using a steam treatment. With a steam treatment, you can cleanse the skin getting rid of the dirty and muck building up in your pores. This takes about ten minutes, and it doesn’t require a sauna. You can simply fill up a bowl with boiling water and hold your head over it. Make sure that you put a towel over your head to catch the steam. Leave your face there until there’s no more steam rising from the bowl.
It’s worth pointing out that the food you eat also has an impact on your skin. If you want your skin to be clean and clear, you should chomp down on celery every so often. Celery will clear your skin, and it could even reduce the wrinkles on your face. The natural food helps you tighten your skin, reducing signs of wrinkles and old age.
Another trick for getting rid of those wrinkles is with skin tightening exercises. As you get older, you’ll start to notice skin hanging off your chin. It’s unsightly, and many think it’s something that always happens as you get older. But this isn’t true; you can prevent it. Each day, till your head up to the ceiling. Open and close your mouth. You’ll feel your skin stretching. Do this ten or twenty times and you’ll prevent your skin getting loose there.
Exercise And Fitness
We don’t all have time for a full fitness and exercise routine. But we should make time for is completing a few sets of simple exercises, each morning. By doing this, you’ll keep your body younger and look beautiful longer. You should be able to fit these in without changing your schedule. If you can’t, try and wake up half an hour earlier. That way, you’ll be able to complete all the exercises and then have some breakfast. You can try a few sit-ups and squats. The sit ups will tone your stomach while the squats will tighten up your glutes. You only need to do thirty exercises over three sets of each. It should take you a couple of minutes for each set with a ninety-second break. If you break for longer than ninety seconds, you’ll be giving your body too long to recover. Once you have fitted this exercise into your schedule, try to do some more in the evening.
Another benefit of this is that it will tire you out and get you that good night sleep.
Finally, we know this is going to come as a shock for some women, but makeup is bad for your skin. If you’re caking your face in makeup, you are going to age faster than others. That’s due to the chemicals in make up that damage your face. It can cause you to lose the natural color in your skin and even increase the chance of wrinkles developing. You should try only to use makeup when you need it. Or, if you feel naked without your makeup, switch to make up only containing natural ingredients.
